PROGRESS

 

    • Section 3 is 95% completed.
    • Tentatively set for Tuesday, July 20th construction will switch into Section 4, (Section 4 is the southeast corner of the intersection). Construction work in Section 4 will take 2-3 weeks.
    • Once work is completed in Section 4 Karvo Paving Company will complete asphalt paving and landscaping.
    • Traffic will be maintained.
    • Project completion date is scheduled for September 2010.

    • Construction is now in Phase 4 at the northwest quadrant of the intersection.
    • Two-way traffic is being maintained on Royalton Road and on W. 130th Street.
    • New curb will be installed tomorrow, July 2nd followed by under-drain and base

course asphalt.
    • New sidewalk, curb ramps and driveway aprons will then be placed.
    • Construction will then move to the final phase at the southwest quadrant.

Street traffic will not be permitted to turn left onto eastbound Royalton Road.
 Message boards and alternate route signs have been placed.

 Karvo Construction Company has completed Phase I construction
at the southeast quadrant of the intersection.
 Traffic was switched to the Phase 2 plan on Friday, May 21st.
 Construction will be commencing at the northeast quadrant Monday, May 24th
two-way traffic will again be maintained.
 During Phase 2, westbound Royalton Road traffic will not be permitted to turn
right onto northbound W. 130th Street.
 Southbound W. 130th Street traffic will not be permitted to turn left onto eastbound
 Royalton Road.
 Alternate route signs have been placed.

 Karvo Construction Company continues construction work at the south east
quadrant of the intersection.
 Two-way traffic is being maintained through out the course of construction.
 Placement of concrete curb and asphalt pavement is scheduled for the first week
in May followed by placement of under drain.
 When Phase I of construction is completed, Karvo Construction Co. will begin
Phase 2 at the north east quadrant of the intersection.

  • Message boards have been erected on Royalton Road informing eastbound and westbound motorist that the construction project will begin October 12, 2009, and to expect delays.
  • Pre-construction video has been made.
  • Construction right-of-way limits and proposed sanitary sewer staked.
  • Construction zone set for October 26, 2009, closing of the curb lane to westbound Royalton Road traffic west of the intersection.
  • On October 28, 2009 Sub-Contractor Martin Enterprises will begin installation of the sanitary sewer.
  • Work to take place in November:

  • The continuation of the installation of the sanitary sewer.
