PROGRESS
Contractor to place two message boards (one at Brainard/Cedar and
one at Lander/Cedar) that say, "Cedar Road construction begins October
2. Expect delays."
The first phase of work will include installing the temporary
pavement on the north side of Cedar for westbound traffic.
Public is advised to use caution in the project site while this is
being done.

Hydrant relocation began Wednesday, October 18, 2006, and will
continue.
Excavation for the temporary road will begin on Monday, October 23,
2006.
Expected work in the next three weeks:
- Waterline relocation and installing pavement for temporary road.

Thanksgiving.
Hydrant work is 90% complete, and additional water work will
continue.
Signaling at Cedar/Landerbrook has changed.
Delays are to be expected throughout the duration of the project.

PROGRESS
Traffic to be switched on November 29, 2006, to the temporary
pavement.
Westbound traffic will use the temporary pavement, Eastbound traffic
will use the existing westbound lane.
The Cedar/Brainard intersection is not affected. The work zone
starts 400 ft. east of this intersection.
Work expected to start next week on underground utilities.

PROGRESS
Underground utility work continues on the south side of Cedar Road.
This includes installation of a new sanitary sewer and a 24" waterline
relocation.
Work has begun on Cedar Road Culvert No. 11. This includes the
demolition of this culvert. The pre-cast sections for the drive culvert
and roadway culvert will be set this week.
Expected work:
- The continuation of the sanitary sewer installation and finishing
the drive culvert and the south half of the Cedar Road culvert.
- Storm sewer work is expected to start on the first of second week
of February.

PROGRESS
Lander Road concrete installation is complete. The asphalt overlay
is the next item to be completed.
Underground utility work is 99% complete.
Excavation of the south side of roadway is near completion.
Stone will be placed from the culvert to Brainard Road. Please use
caution because trucks will be pulling in and out of the work zone.
The light at Cedar Road and Lander Road has been changed. It is now
almost identical to what it was before the project started. This was
done at the request of the City of Mayfield Heights.

PROGRESS
The south side of Cedar Road has been paved with three courses of
asphalt to date with the surface course left (the surface will be
completed last after the north side has been completed in similar
manner).
The widening of Brainard/Cedar will be completed on the east side in
30 days.
The Cedar/Windy Hill intersection remains closed.

The final asphalt surface course is scheduled for installation on
October 24, 2007 and October 25, 2007, weather pending.
Police officers will be on hand to assist traffic.
Driveway installation and grading will continue this Fall. Temporary
traffic zones will be set in place for this.
Final landscaping will be completed in the Spring.

Cedar Road was open to traffic on Thursday, November 1, 2007.
Final striping was completed on Friday, November 2, 2007.
Temporary work zones will be utilized to install drive aprons,
complete linear grading, to finish traffic signalization and signage.
Final landscaping will be done in the spring.
